The Capacity Building and Sector Strengthening Grants Program is now live!
The Grants Program aims to strengthen the capability, governance, sustainability and transition readiness of Aboriginal community controlled organisations (ACCOs) across the Northern Territory.
The Aboriginal Peak Organisations of the Northern Territory (APO NT) is committed to self-determination for Aboriginal Communities. This includes supporting Aboriginal community controlled organisations to deliver services which meet the aspirations of their communities.
About the Grants
Aboriginal community controlled organisations, through effective and genuine community control, can provide high-quality services which meet the aspirations of the local community and are culturally safe.
Through the Capacity Building and Sector Strengthening Grants, APO NT will support the capacity building and strengthening of Aboriginal community controlled organisations (ACCOs) to provide critical services for Aboriginal people in remote NT communities.
The Capacity Building and Sector Strengthening (CBSS) Program is a key initiative under the Northern Territory Remote Aboriginal Investment Agreement (NTRAI).
As a rolling funded program, the CBSS Grants Program has a limited funding pool across four streams, which Aboriginal community controlled organisations can apply under.

Your ACCO can be supported through one off or limited term activities.
Your ACCO can be supported over the medium term to complete strengthening activities.
Your ACCO can be supported as part of a transition of services to community control ensuring sustainable delivery of the service.
