Guiding Principles

All members of APO NT will exercise their responsibility having regard to their commitment to the following principles:

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the key agents of change and must be granted agency in the development and implementation of policies and programs that impact on their lives; and
• Representatives of Aboriginal people must act together on a unified basis to engage with governments and support
  one another to the maximum extent possible.
